Competitive Youth Team
Community Rowing of San Diego offers a competitive high school team along with high school row practice. No rowing experience is necessary. Our USRowing certified high school coaches train students from never rowed before through to competition. Competition is not required for high school row, but students are encouraged to join the team and try a regatta. The team offers opportunities to attend both local and California and Arizona wide regattas.

The first week of practice is free of charge so that high school students new to rowing can try it out, meet the coaches and fellow crewmates, and get their feet wet without added pressure. Parents then pay for practices monthly. CRSD keeps practice fees affordable to encourage participation, and we offer scholarships for families that need them so that all children who want to row get the opportunity. CRSD high school rowers form lasting friendships with one another and encourage each other to reach their personal bests. We love watching them welcome and help new students, and mature physically and emotionally through rowing.
