Community Rowing of San Diego's kayak rentals include life jackets and paddles. Our coaches will help you get your kayak down to the water and can show you how to use the paddle if you have never kayaked before. CRSD is located on the Sweetwater Channel which runs into the San Diego Bay and is across from the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, the last remaining saltmarsh on the San Diego Bay. Kayakers can travel through the Marsh to observe its over 215 bird species and search for fiddler crabs, stingrays, and various fish. Kayakers can also travel through the adjacent marina to look at its wide variety of boats. More experienced kayakers may enjoy heading out to the San Diego Bay to see the Coronado Bay Bridge, the Navy Ships, and Silver Strand Beach and to look for sea turtles, pods of dolphins, and sea lions.
