COMMUNITY ROWING OF SAN DIEGO
LEARN TO ROW
Community Rowing of San Diego's Learn to Row lessons are taught by USRowing certified coaches and use a skills progression to prepare you to safely and comfortably row on your on or with crewmates throughout the stunning San Diego Bay. Our Learn to Row class series will introduce you to the sport of rowing. Each athlete learns at their own pace and advancement to coached lessons will be at the discretion of CRSD coaches. The series of Three Coached Lessons will focus on teaching technique, safety, and boathouse protocol to prepare you to ultimately row without a coach.

Graduates of CRSD's Learn to Row progression can then choose to row recreationally, buy purchasing one of our affordable Rowing Packages, or can choose to join our Master's Competitive Team to train for regattas.

Learn to Row Class
Learn to Row Class is an introduction to rowing and safety equipment, followed by learning the correct rowing stroke on ergometers (indoor rowing machines). Students then head out to the stable barge to work on their sweep rowing. The barge allows beginner rowers to learn the basics of sweep rowing on water while feeling extra secure and supported.
