Community Rowing of San Diego's Learn to Row lessons are taught by USRowing certified coaches and use a skills progression to prepare you to safely and comfortably row on your on or with crewmates throughout the stunning San Diego Bay.  A Level 1 lesson introduces you to the sport of sweep rowing CRSD's stable barge. Level 2 introduces you to sculling on a stable, pontooned single shell. Level 3 teaches intermediate sculling skills, water safety, and builds endurance. Level 4 prepares to row in the Bay, without a coach, on your own or with crewmates. Our lessons are priced for affordability, and we also offer a Learn to Row package of three lessons for the price of two.

Graduates of CRSD's Learn to Row progression can then choose to row recreationally, buy purchasing one of our affordable Rowing Packages, or can choose to join our Master's Competitive Team to train for regattas.
