In partnership with the Survivor Rowing Network, CRSD launched the San Diego Survivors program in Fall 2024.

The Sea Dragon Crew is a rowing team created for cancer survivors, by a community that believes in strength, resilience, and the power of moving forward—together.

Open to survivors of all cancer types, this unique program offers a space to reclaim strength, build community, and celebrate life on the water. Rowing is a full-body, low-impact sport that supports both physical recovery and mental well-being. Whether you're newly in remission or years out, you're welcome here.

This is not about starting over—it's about continuing strong. With each stroke, we honor the journey, push forward with purpose, and rise as a crew.

No experience necessary. Just bring your courage—we’ll provide the rest.

The Sea Dragon Crew Offers:

Rowing for all cancer survivors — no experience needed

Indoor and on-the-water sessions

Group and individual coaching

Accommodations for all fitness and mobility levels

A supportive, empowering community to rebuild

strength and spirit

A sea dragon with butterfly wings represents this community of rowers. The sea dragon symbolizes resilience for its ability to continuously thrive despite adversity and is a beacon of prosperity and flourishing life. The butterfly symbolizes our bodies' ability to transform, offering us the gift of being reborn and free.
