San Diego Survivors

In partnership with the Survivor Rowing Network, CRSD launched the San Diego Survivors program in Fall 2024. The goal of the program is to provide cancer patients and survivors with a community and an opportunity to try something fun and positive with their bodies. No previous rowing experience or skill is required!

Research proves that moderate exercise during and
after treatment:
● Improves mood & self-esteem
● Lessens fatigue
● Strengthens bones
● Improves balance
● Improves sleep
● Improves your physical health and overall
quality of life
● Lowers the risk of anxiety and depression
Exercise also may help to reduce the risk that your
cancer returns

Our next open house is Saturday, 11/23 from 9-11am, all are welcome!

A sea dragon with butterfly wings represents this community of rowers. The sea dragon symbolizes resilience for its ability to continuously thrive despite adversity and is a beacon of prosperity and flourishing life. The butterfly symbolizes our bodies' ability to transform, offering us the gift of being reborn and free.
